COMPETITIVE SPIRIT

Competitive Spirit

In many situations in life, especially within a company or within a family, co-operation is a much more powerful principal than competition. Each person defines what success means to them. For some, success means beating the competition in the work place or making certain amount of money. For others it is having healthy relationships and a loving family.

In this case, is competitive spirit a bad thing? Personally I don't think so. In fact I think having some healthy competition help us all succeed. Actually I'm not saying that each and every one of you should go out and start competing in different areas, but I think a little competition reminds us of what we need to be doing. Sometimes people may compete with others to achieve this success , but it is not accurate to say that you must always compete with others. the only competition we should involve with is a competition with our own sense of excellence. We should constantly push ourselves harder to make our life a better reflection of what we believe a great person is.

Finally, I'd like to say get involved, enjoy the competition, learn by your mistakes, delight in winning and satisfy the competitive spirit that burns inside all of us. Therefore, you must be competitive to be successful, but simply being competitive does not mean you will succeed; much in the same way you must eat to stay alive, but eating will not keep you alive by itself.

SELF DESCRIPTION

SELF DESCRIPTION

Hello every one. I'm Oshadi. You can call me Osh, Oshi what ever you like. I live in Sri Lanka. I'm 21 years old & my birthday is on the 3rd of June 1989. I attended to Sirimavo Bandaranayake Vidyalaya. After i finished my G.C.E. advanced level exam I'm following a management degree in Australian College of Business and Tecknowlegy (ACBT). Still in the first year. I have dreams and goals for the future that I'm determined to make happen, and I don't expect any one to do the hard work for me. I come from a normal background. My parents, grandpa and my self live together and I'm really feel very lucky to have a supportive family behind me. My family and friends become the only walls that stand strong around me.

I'm little bit shy and sometimes it makes problems to me. And also I'm very sensitive girl & I cant stand in front of others failure. My hobby is chatting with friends through the skype and facebook, because of that I can't live without my laptop and spend most of the time in front of the computer. Besides computing, I'm very fond to music. When I'm free , I love listening to pop music and soft music. I like soft music because it can make me feel calm whereas pop music is fashionable and I like both very much but specially to soft music. And also I used to draw pictures when i was in O/L classes, and now it's really difficult to find that much of time to spend with arts because of my bulk of works.

Finally i plan to make my uni education a well rounded and broadening one that hopefully will allow me to explore both my academic and artistic interests, so that wherever the future takes me I will have a solid foundation upon which to build a career.
